We are excited to announce our day of celebration of black culture on Friday 24th October. Throughout the year we learn about a range of cultures, in October we are very proud to celebrate black history month and shine a light on black excellence. Please join us at the 3 family sharing events on Friday 24th October: 9-10am Nursery and Reception Family Friday, 2.30-3.30pm our Parents in Class event will take the form of a school carnival and finally everyone is welcome to join us for an evening of food sharing, traditional dress and performance in our annual Black History Celebration event from 3.30-5.30pm. Please wear traditional dress or colours and bring a dish to share! #keepconnected

Year 5 enjoyed an informative and interactive tour of the Docklands Museum. They looked at the history of the Thames and its uses through the ages, as part of their geography learning, and travelled back in time to when the Docks were the epicentre of trade in London as part of their history learning. Well done Year 5!

Year 1 herb tasting with Chef Rab. Year 1 explored the tastes and textures of our home grown herbs last week. They also made tartar sauce to have with our fish main last week- it was delicious! #keepgreen #keephealthy

Year 2 have been reading Oliver’s Fruit Salad. They took a trip to Dalston Market to choose their own fruit to make their own version of Gainsborough’s fruit salad. They tried lots of new and different fruits from sugar cane to custard apple, pineapple to nectarine linking to their geography learning. Well done year 2! #keephealthy #keepgreen #keepconnected
